Austin Taiko is excited to announce its class schedule for the beginning of 2025!
Beginner Taiko
Description
No previous music experience necessary. At this level, you will be introduced to the basics of taiko and we will walk you through how to read our sheet music. Each beginner class will focus on up to four songs. Since a beginners class may not get through all of the four songs that are prerequisites for the intermediate class, beginners may need to take the beginners class multiple times in order to progress to the next level. Progressing to the next level is proficiency-based.

New to Austin Taiko
Description
This level is for people who are new to Austin Taiko, but who have previous music experience and who can read sheet music.

Prerequisites
Must be able to read sheet music and have experience playing an instrument (e.g., drum line, piano, etc).

Intermediate Taiko
Description
This level is for people who have taken classes with Austin Taiko and who have memorized the prerequisite songs with sufficient proficiency as assessed by the instructor.

You have memorized Renshu, Dai Ko Zui No Hi, Tesshin Daiko Matsuri, and Hajime
